Gathering 4 Gardner

G4G is a conference, a foundation, and a community of people who have a strong personal connection to Martin Gardner.

Welcome!

Since 1993, through our biennial Gathering 4 Gardner conferences and yearly worldwide Celebration of Mind events (most recently held on all seven continents, including Antartica), the G4G Foundation aims, in the spirit of Martin Gardner, to engage the broadest possible audiences with contemporary and intriguing ideas in math, science, magic, puzzles, and philosophy.

The Gatherings

The Gathering 4 Gardner Foundation sponsors a conference that has been held every two years since 1996 after the inaugural conference in 1993. These conferences have been held in Atlanta (State of Georgia, USA) and most recently in the final week of March 2014. Each is known as a Gathering 4 Gardner. The next Gathering will occur in the Spring of 2016.

The Gathering 4 Gardner conferences attract world-class mathematicians, puzzle makers, magicians, physicists, and artists, all united by their inspiration and enthusiasm for the work of Martin Gardner.

The Gathering 4 Gardner foundation provides financial support for interested students to attend the Gatherings. We have supported students at the elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and post-graduate levels in their attendance of the Gatherings.

The Gift Bag

Each attendee who wants to participate, brings ~400 copies of something they would have made and given to Martin. All take home a bag of gifts! In the future, we may have a catalog of a the Best past gift items. Here's a good one from G4G10:
